Our Story
How LaxLnk Started

LaxLnk started from a shared passion: helping the next generation of lacrosse players grow with the right coaches and role models. After years of playing Division I lacrosse and coaching youth, we saw how hard it was for athletes to find quality, trusted instruction. So we built a platform to change that — an app that connects elite-level players with athletes across the country.

“When Mary brought this idea to me, I knew right away there was a place for it in the world of women’s lacrosse. I’m excited to build LaxLnk together, and impact as many aspiring athletes as we possibly can. The group of coaches that Mary has assembled is the best of the best in the nation, and I’m looking forward to telling their stories!”

Mary Schumar
Founder & Head of Product Design

Mary Schumar is the Founder of LaxLnk, where she combined her passion for lacrosse and technology to create a platform that connects the next generation of players with the game’s top talent. Mary played lacrosse at both Marquette University and Northwestern University. With a background in mechanical engineering and information technology, she built LaxLnk to bridge the gap between aspiring athletes and our game’s most elite coaches — giving young players real access to the mentorship and training they need to compete at the highest level.

"After playing the sport I loved for over ten years, being both a player and now a coach I realized there was a gap. A gap between the best in the game and the young athletes eager to learn. Thats what inspired me to build LaxLnk- a platform designed to bridge that gap and give every athlete the opportunity to train with the nations top lacrosse players, while continuing to grow the game we all love at the highest level."
